How do I report Non-Emergency Problems to North Syracuse Police?

You may report non-emergency problems at (315) 458-5670 weekdays 8:00am - 4:00pm or 315-425-2333 24/7. 

What are the Police Department’s business hours?

Generally, the department is open to the public from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday, and closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.  

Where is the North Syracuse Police Department located?

The police headquarters is located at: 608 South Bay Road, North Syracuse, NY 13212. 

How do I file a Police Report?

For Emergencies call 911. You can call the non - emergency number 315-458-5670 (weekdays 8:00-4:00) or 315-425-2333 (24/7) to have an officer respond. You can also visit our main headquarters (located at 600 South Bay Road) weekdays 8:00-4:00.  

How do I report Criminal Activity in my neighborhood?

If there is an emergency, dial 911. For non-emergencies, call 315-458-5670 or 315-425-2333 to have an officer respond. If you would like to submit an anonymous tip, the information can be sent via this app or email tips@northsyracuseny.org 

How do I get a copy of an accident report?

After 3 to 5 business days call the records section at 315-458-5670 (weekdays 8:00am to 4:00pm) to make your request. Then you may pick up the copy at headquarters during the aforementioned hours. You must bring and show a photo identification to receive the copy.

Does the police department issue handicap parking permits?

The North Syracuse Police Department does issue Handicap Parking Permits to Village of North Syracuse residents only. You must be a village resident, have a doctor’s prescription and be able to show valid photo identification. 

Does the Village of North Syracuse have a noise ordinance?

Yes,  the noise ordinance is in effect from 10pm – 7am.  Unreasonable noise can be either verbal or mechanical which crosses property lines and annoys a person of reasonable sensibilities including but not limited to: Radios or bands, loud mufflers or engines, power equipment, loud parties, or barking dogs.  

Does the Village of North Syracuse have a regulations on dogs?

Yes, all dogs over 6 months old must be licensed. When not confined to house or yard, dogs must be leashed. Owners are responsible to clean up after pets. Owners are responsible to prevent nuisance barking.  

What are some of the Village parking regulations?

  Parking Regulations

  • No all night parking on streets between 1am & 7am, November 15 – April 15.
  • No All night parking in municipal parking lots.
  • No parking within 15 feet of hydrants or stop signs.
  • No parking on sidewalks.
  • You must park facing the same direction on the side of the roadways as vehicular traffic flow.
