Today’s Memorial Day Parade & Family Festival / 100th Year Anniversary Celebration was one to remember!
Our officers had a great time ensuring the safety and security of all attendees. From planning parade route logistics to providing on-the-ground support at the festival, it was an honor to help make the day fun and safe for everyone.
We also appreciated the chance to connect with so many community members. One of our favorite moments? Meeting a 13-year-old who told us he checked out our new website earlier today looking for the name of the “nice” NSPD officer who recently pulled his mom over! (Don’t worry — we checked in with Mom at the festival, and she confirmed the story! 😊)
We were also deeply moved by a local foster family who asked us to spend some time with their foster child — helping him build a positive and trusting experience with law enforcement. Moments like these are important to us!
To everyone who came out today in the rainy weather thank you for the smiles, the conversations, the handshakes, and the incredible support you continue to show us every day. We heard many “thank yous.” One officer commented after the events its one of the reasons he enjoys working at North Syracuse PD – the community support.
Finally, as we celebrate this weekend together, please take a moment to pause in remembrance of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Today, and always, we honor them.
