North Syracuse Police Department Earns NYS Re-Accreditation!

🎉We are honored to announce that the North Syracuse Police Department has been officially reaccredited by the New York State Law Enforcement Accreditation Program, with accreditation status extended through June 2030!🚓

This prestigious recognition was awarded during the New York State Law Enforcement Agency Accreditation Council’s June 2025 meeting. Accreditation is a mark of excellence that signifies our ongoing commitment to professionalism, effectiveness, efficiency, and community trust.

Out of 532 law enforcement agencies across New York State, only 189 have achieved this standard — and we are proud to be one these agencies.

Chief Chance Fieldson shared:

“Maintaining NYS Law Enforcement Accreditation has been a priority of the North Syracuse Police Department and the Accreditation Council’s vote confirms the North Syracuse Police Department’s dedication and commitment to policing excellence. We thank our Program Manager Martin Ferguson, all officers and employees of the North Syracuse Police Department who made this possible, and the Mayor and Board of Trustees for their support in this elite endeavor. We are committed to policing excellence, and the NYS Law Enforcement Accreditation Program has provided an independent testament to the work we do each day and the quality of police services we offer to our community.”
