The North Syracuse Police Department’s Police Explorer Program is led by Sgt. Jordan Pannell and Ofc. Shawn Darrow. The North Syracuse Police Department’s Police Explorer Program is a great way for local youth who may be interested in the criminal justice system to experience first-hand what it’s like to be a police officer. Our Police Explorer Program is part of the Northeast Regional Law Enforcement Educational Association (NERLEEA) and is open to local youth between the ages of 14 and 21. North Syracuse Police Department Police Explorer’s experience great opportunities to develop in the areas of law enforcement education, team building, character development, and good citizenship. The program is open to those between the ages of 14 and 21 years old and consists of meetings, police ride a long’s, and community service / events. We believe that the North Syracuse Police Department Police Explorer Program is a great way for local youth interested in criminal justice to gain insight as to what the profession entails!
