The North Syracuse Police Department engages in a community oriented policing philosophy at its core mission. North Syracuse Police Department utilizes bicycle patrols to help integrate officers into our community and provide a more visible and approachable way for residents and visitors to interact with law enforcement. Bicycle patrols afford the North Syracuse Police Department the opportunity to navigate areas of the village, such as parks or trails, that otherwise are not accessible by vehicular patrol. The North Syracuse Police Department deploys bicycle patrols for patrols, parade’s, and community events including our annual bicycle rodeo for local youth. We think bicycle patrols are a great way to establish relationships with those we serve!
